There are also reasonable numbers of green vegetable bugs, but their distribution has been patchy, while a high density of Rutherglen bugs has also been recorded, although it is not yet possible to associate their presence with significant shedding of squares.
“We have seen consistently high Helicoverpa (heliothis) activity, predominantly armigera activity. There is certainly a big population of moths that have been active over the past couple of weeks and we really don't know what is going to happen beyond with the next generation.”
