Yarn Expo Autumn, the China International Trade Fair for Fibres and Yarns, will return to Shanghai again this year. The 2013 show will take place from 21 – 23 October 2013 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in hall N4.

Suppliers will showcase their latest collection of natural and blended yarns including cotton, wool, flax / regenerated flax, and man-made fibres and yarns, as well as specialty products including elastic, and fancy and blended yarns.

Indian pavilion confirms participation again as suppliers look to capture growing Chinese market

A large group of Indian exhibitors presence again this year provides excellent opportunities for visitors to the fair. According to the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), cotton yarn production in India is predicted to increase by 8.5% in 2013, confirming the country as one of the world’s leading and fastest growing yarn producers. For many Indian suppliers, Yarn Expo serves as their main platform for gaining entry into the Chinese market to capture the huge business prospects on offer. Once again this year, Texprocil, the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council of India, will co-organise the Indian pavilion.

South Asia is also represented at the fair by the Pakistan zone, with exhibitors showcasing their latest collections of cotton yarns. The increased purchasing power as well as the changing buying habits of Chinese consumers means visitors to this fair are on the lookout for a diverse range of offerings from countries such as India and Pakistan.

Ms Wendy Wen, the Senior General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, is optimistic that current market conditions and changing consumer habits will lead to success at the fair. “With the anticipated increase in demand for spun yarn from Chinese buyers due to recent falling prices, and the expanding domestic market, exhibitors should have every reason to feel confident about the opportunities at Yarn Expo Autumn,” she said.

Concurrent events create synergies for both exhibitors and buyers

Held concurrently with Yarn Expo Autumn 2013, Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics and the PH Value (previously known as the China International Knitting Trade Fair) are located in the same venue. These three fairs will bring the fibre and yarn, apparel fabrics and accessories, and knitted garments industries under one roof, giving buyers and exhibitors a unique opportunity to leverage our premium business platform.

Yarn Expo Autumn is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; The Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; China Cotton Textile Association; China Wool Textile Association; China Chemical Fiber Association; China Bast & Leaf Fibres Textiles Association; and China Textile Information Centre.
