Textile Company Raymond is planning to venture into technical textile business.
Gautam Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director sees immense opportunities in technical textile business in India.
Company has appointed consultants to study the pros and cons and analyze segments and sub-segments involved in textile business.
With the inauguration of the worsted suiting fabric facility at Vapi, Raymond is set to become the world's largest worsted suiting fabric manufacturer in the world.
Capacity expansion of 3 million meter at Vapi plant will be in addition to the current production of 28 million meters. The company will double the capacity by December with increased investment of Rs 197 crore up from the initial investment of Rs 120 crore.
