Abhishek Ind Ltd bags Wal-Mart International Supplier of the Year 2005 Award

Abhishek Industries Limited, a Rs.10 billion global enterprise, having main interests in terry towels, terry products, yarn, writing & printing papers to chemicals has been awarded awarded the 'International Supplier of the Year, 2005' award by Wal-Mart, USA.

A company press release informing this news to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited was received here today.

Authorised by Pawan Jain, Company Secretary, the release informs that the award was presented by Wal-Mart at an event held in Shenzhen, China.

It says, "The recognition conferred upon the Company is attributable to quality of goods manufactured by the Company, on-time delivery and customer centric philosophy adopted by the Company."

Recently, the company has embarked on an ambitious program by adding additional yarn spindle capacity to about 44,000.

The project is expected to be completed by June 2006 for which machines and technology has been contracted from Reiter Machine Works.

Wal-Mart Inc is the world's leading retailer based in USA and operates Wal-Mart Stores, Supercenters, Neighborhood Markets and SAM'S CLUB locations in the United States.
