Yarn manufacturer Sangam bags export orders of Rs70 crore

Leading polyester-viscose dyed yarn manufacturers, Sangam (India) Ltd has booked export orders worth Rs70 crore, totalling company's export books to Rs100 crore.
Of the Rs 70 crore worth orders, the company received Rs30 crore orders from countries like Egypt, Poland and the UK, and rest came from large domestic manufacturers.
These orders are to be fulfilled in next three months and the company plans to concentrate on potential export markets as it has received numerous export enquiries from the international market, said Chairman R P Soni.
Company's sales grew 100 percent at Rs86 crore in financial year 2005-06 compared to Rs42 crore in same period last year.
For the period of nine month ended December 31, 2005, company reported 63.72 percent increase in net profit at Rs16.70 crore compared to Rs10.20 crore in corresponding periods.
Promoted by first-generation entrepreneurs R P Soni and S N Modani, Sangam (India) is one of the leading manufacturers of polyester dyed yarn in the country.
At present, Sangam India has 64,032 spindles of polyester-viscose dyed yarn installed in Bhilwara along with 127 weaving machines and a 10 MW thermal power plant.
