Vibrant Gujarat 2007 to welcome retail giant Wal-Mart

Retail giant Wal-Mart has confirmed that it will participate in the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat summit to be held at Ahmedabad's Science City between January 12 and 13, 2007.
Sources informed that about 49 companies have registered themselves for the business meet. Renowned oil and gas multinational Exxon is one more major firm to attend this event.
Vibrant Gujarat 2007 will witness the presence of both these companies for first time. Their envoys will arrange high level meetings with Government officials and attend seminars.
Engineering firm ITT Corporation, polymer maker Lyondell Chemical Company and top producer of industrial gases Linde Group are other enterprises to take part in the summit.
Of total Rs1.06 lakh crore investments approved in the January 2005 meet, projects worth Rs15,000 crore are functional.
