Tempur-pedic responsible for starting a revolution in the bedding industry

Swedish mattresses & neck pillows maker Tempur-Pedic International Inc, the company responsible for starting a revolution in the bedding industry by introducing its proprietary viscoelastic mattress in the early 1990's, will launch "The OriginalBed by Tempur-Pedic" during next week's Las Vegas Furniture Market.

"The OriginalBed by Tempur-Pedic" mirrors the first mattress product ever sold by the Company, but includes a few construction upgrades and a new introductory price.

"This mattress was a staple in company product line, and there has always been an idea to bring it back to the market," said Dany Sfeir, Senior Vice President of Marketing. "They fine-tuned the construction to meet their current standards including the latest California TB603 requirements.

"The OriginalBed by Tempur-Pedic" features three inches of the proprietary TEMPUR pressure-relieving material and stands approximately eight inches tall. The mattress is complimented by a proprietary Platform Foundation or a Tempur-Pedic Adjustable Bed Base. "The OriginalBed by Tempur-Pedic" comes with a removable, washable, allergen-resistant cover and a 20-year limited warranty. The suggested retail price for a queen size mattress will be $1,199.

They are confident there is a large segment of the population who are looking for an entry-level product in the fast growing luxury market, and they believe this is the perfect choice.
