Sporting goods marketer DHB ropes in Mark Pickett as VP, Sales

Athletic sports goods company DHB Industries Inc, which principally operates in the rapidly growing field of body armor, announced the hiring of Mark Pickett as Vice President of Sales for the Company's Body Armor Group.
Mr. Pickett will be responsible for setting the strategic sales and marketing direction for both operating companies - Point Blank Body Armor and Protective Apparel Corporation of America (PACA). The Company takes another step in solidifying its management team to drive growth.
Mr. Pickett comes to DHB Industries from BlackHawk Products Group, based in Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as North American Sales Manager. From 1999 - 2004, Mr. Pickett held key positions with Second Chance Body Armor Inc, based in Central Lake, Michigan where he most recently served as Group Vice President, in charge of global sales and marketing.
During his five-year tenure at Second Chance, the Company experienced a more than 100 percent increase in revenues, and he was instrumental in enhancing and promoting the Second Chance brand, developing customer relationships and establishing several overseas operations.
Prior to that, Mr. Pickett held various sales positions within Armor Holdings, Inc., based in Jacksonville, Florida and AlliedSignal, Inc. (now Honeywell), based in Petersburg, Virginia. Mr. Pickett graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering.
