R&R package for PAPs by MSEZ

Believing that the 'People First' is the most important philosophy, MSEZ has shown willingness to purchase land under paddy at Rs.10 lakh per acre and varkas (unproductive) land at Rs 5 lakh per acre in the project area.

The land prices offered by MSEZ are many times more than prescribed in the Ready Reckoner of the State Government.

In case the award for land finalized by the State Government exceeds the compensation for the land offered by the Company, the difference would be paid in each individual case where Agreements for Sale under Consent Route have been executed. The Company has already purchased over 1000 acres under Consent Route. These landholders would also be eligible for the enhanced land compensation as well as R&R package.

In addition, a landowner may opt for employment of one nominated family member. This arrangement, too, has two options. Under the first, free of charge technical and vocational training would be imparted to the nominee. During the training period, a sustenance allowance at minimum agricultural wages per day would be paid to the family. On successful completion of training, employment with a monthly income range of Rs.4000-5000 is assured.

Under the second option, MSEZ will pay a one-time payment of Rs.3 lakh per PAF in case training and employment option is not opted for.

For women, MSEZ will provide suitable vocational training to enable them to set up self employment ventures.

For landless PAPs, minimum agricultural wage (Rs.60 per day at present) would be paid for two years to every family. Vocational training, too, would be provided to one nominee of each such family.

While taking care of PAPs, MSEZ will also spend money on upgradation of various village amenities and facilities so that the gaothans can blend seamlessly with the emerging ultra-modern city outside Mumbai. MSEZ has earmarked about Rs. 90 crores for the purpose.
