Munzert uses Trevira CS fabrics to design cancer clinic

DecositIncreasing importance is being attached to the design of the interiors of health and care institutions. The reason is that when taking the total health of patients into consideration, it is seen as essential to enhance the quality of their stay in hospitals and care homes, and thus help towards their recovery.

There is a really decisive role for textiles in furnishing health care institutions, in that, along with the colour of the walls, they constitute the most flexible element in interior decoration.

A renovation project at the children's cancer clinic in Berlin Buch provides an effective example of the impact textiles can make in shaping interiors. The RTL 2 docusoap “Engel im Einsatz (Angels at Work) – with Verona Pooth“ involved refurbishing the interior of the clinic with Trevira CS fabrics.

In the fifth episode of the TV series the well-known hostess Verona Pooth visited the cancer ward of the Berlin Helios children's clinic Buch.

Here she set herself the task of enhancing the daily life of the children, staff and relatives by a thorough refurbishment of the clinic interior. Two Trevira CS fabrics by the Gebrüder Munzert GmbH & Co KG, Marlesreuth, were used for the project.

The reconstruction work at the cancer clinic was carried out by the Bublitz planning office in Berlin. For eleven years now an interior designer in both public and private sectors, Stephanie Bublitz has spent the last seven working independentlywith a small team in Berlin. “What really marks out our designs is the way they play with colours and fabric combinations“, says Stephanie.
