The only existing textile firm in Kaduna, United Nigeria Textiles Limited (UNTL), is going to close down soon leaving nearly 4,000 workers unemployed.
Mr Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, State Deputy Governor, explained that poor supply of power and lack of Low Pour Fuel Oil had forced UNTL to take this decision.
While UTNL is expected to close by next week, Kaduna Refining and Petro-Chemical Company will soon start its large scale production.
