Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the nation's largest fabric and craft retailer, announced that Ken Haverkost has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Operations.
Haverkost comes to Jo-Ann from Fred Meyer Stores where he gained extensive experience in retail management during his 23 years with the company. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Director of Store Operations at the grocery retailer. Fred Meyer Stores is a 127 store super-center division of The Kroger Company.
“Ken brings with him a wealth of experience in both store operations and merchandising,” said Darrell Webb, chairman, president and chief executive officer.
“As a member of our executive team, he shares our commitment to further improving our in-store shopping experience while driving profitable growth over the long term. With our current focus on key operational initiatives, Ken's background will be a great asset to the Jo-Ann team. "
Haverkost is a graduate of The Evergreen State College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business.
