Everest Textile joins '168 action statement' in 2008

The phenomenon of global warming is of great concern in 2007. In order to contribute the corporate responsibility, Everest has initiated the "Everest Sustainability Model"(ESM) to develop a strategic action entitled "Energy saving, Care for the Environment and our Earth".
Everest insists on innovative green management, increase the resource productivity (Less is more), endeavor to save our earth and constantly executes the Green Competitiveness.
In 2008, Everest Textile joins “168 action statement” initiated by BCSD, and declaims “ Everest's 168 Statement for Environmental Protection” to practice our commitment of sustainability, which includes 6 social responsibilities and 8 action plans:
(1) Six Social Responsibilities:
i. Green Production: Develop, manufacture, and sell green products. ii. Green Culture: Cultivate green awareness company-wide and promote “Green Life”. iii. Ecological Conservation: Establish an ecological garden and cooperate with the community and school to preserve our environment. iv. Green Management: Adopt the Environmental Accounting System to enhance environmental efficiency. v. Lean Production: Avoid waste and raise the resource productivity (Less is more). vi. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): Adopt the ecological environment and practice the corporate responsibility.
(2) Eight green action plans
i. 7R for green Life Practicing 7R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair, Recover, Rethink, Redesign) in the daily life.
