Net profits at the KK Birla Group owned - Sutlej Textiles and Industries leaped nearly three-fold to Rs 526 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2010-11, over the same period of the previous fiscal.
Sutlej Textiles reported a net profit growth of 262.75 percent in the quarter ending March 31, 2011. It had reported a net profit of Rs 145 million in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2009-10.
Net sales in the reporting period stood at Rs 4.43 billion, against Rs 3.18 billion in the same period of last fiscal, up 39.30 percent.
