According to the latest Customs statistics, China's total exports of textiles and garment reached US $18.094 billion in August 2007, representing an increase of $727 million over July, or 4.19 percent, a boost of $2.904 billion over the same period last year, or 19.12 percent.
Exports of textile yarns, fabrics and finished products marked $5.43 billion, representing an augment of $212 million over July, or 4.07 percent, up $843 million over the same period last year, or 18.38 percent.
Exports of apparel and clothing accessories registered $12.664 billion, representing a jump of $514 million over July, or 4.23 percent, surging $2.06 billion over the same time last year, or 19.44 percent.
From January to August 2007, China's total exports of textiles and garment amounted to $108.977 billion, improving $17.582 billion over the same period last year, or 19.24 percent.
Of which, exports of textile yarns, fabrics and finished products represented $35.864 billion, a growth of 13.4 percent over the same time last year.
Exports of apparel and clothing accessories were $73.113 billion, leaping 22.3 percent over the same time last year.
