During January to September 2007, enterprises in Bing Duong Province reaped US $3.6 billion from exports, posting year–on–year growth of 27.1 percent. In September alone the figure touched $439.8 million.
These statistics were contributed by foreign invested enterprises, which accounted for 72.7 percent of exports worth $2.9 billion, representing a growth of 34.5 percent. Non–state owned sector earned $845 million, up by 30.3 percent and state–owned ones totaled to $143.3 million, a rise by 1.1 percent.
Major currency–earning products include woodworks worth $835.9 million, a boost of 46 percent, textile and apparel for $584.6 million, increase of 45 percent and footwear at $503.8 million, swell by 8.9 percent.
During these nine months, industrial production value growth of the province soared 24.9 percent against same period of 2006, worth VND 47,177 billion or $2.94 billion.
