According to the General Administration of Customs, China's imports and exports amounted to US $1.57083 trillion during the first three quarters this year, an increase of 23.5 percent over the same time last year, 0.5 percentage points below the first eight months.
Of the total, exports hit $878.24 billion, a boost of 27.1 percent, and 0.6 percentage points less than the first eight months. Imports were $692.59 billion, improving 19.1 percent, and 0.5 percentage points lower than the first eight months.
The accumulated trade surplus during the first three quarters reached $185.65 billion, 2.1 percentage points lower than the trade surplus growing in the first eight months.
Textile and garment exports accelerated. According to customs statistics, during the first three quarters, exports of clothing and clothing accessories registered $85.57 billion, a surge of 23 percent. Exports of textile yarn, fabrics and products scored $1.09 billion, a rise of 14.2 percent.
