On Monday, September 24, prices of PTA and MEG showed improvement. Semi-dull and bright polyester chip prices were stable. CDP and PET bottle slice prices moved sideways. Polyester staple fiber price remained unchanged.
Acrylic staple fiber 1.5D x 38mm and acrylic top 3D x 102mm prices were in a smooth adjustment; prices of CPL presented upward trend and nylon 6 slices went steady.
VSF price looked firm. Polyester filament remained stable. Price of few items from outside factories climbed. Some semi-dull products manufactured by some big direct spinning factories in Shengzhe rose 100-200 yuan per ton. Recently, filament market is expected to remain a modest correction.
Few individual cotton yarn items saw a drop of 100 yuan per ton; however, overall market of cotton yarn was stable. Cotton yarn J32s had good demand. Downstream demand for rayon yarn has been gradually declining, but price trend is relatively strong.
For pure polyester yarn, 45s had better demand, where as requirement for all other items was flat. Polyester and viscose yarn market remained stable. Polyester and cotton yarn price little changed. PSF, VSF prices were steady.
General yarn market is expected to continue its firm trend.
