CoCaLo Inc announced that their founder, Renee Pepys-Lowe as been chosen as a member of The Committee of 200.
The Committee of 200 (C200) is an international not-for-profit membership association with over 460 members in over 100 industries. Associate members are leading businesswomen who collectively control over $100 billion annually in revenue. The goal of C200 is to meet the needs of their membership in areas such as business synergies, leadership advancement, education, mentoring and recognition.
Founded in the early 1980's, C200 started when a handful of the most powerful women in business gathered in Los Angeles. Their immediate goal was to raise funds for The National Association for Women Business Owners (NAWBO), a network dedicated to women entrepreneurs.
Beyond raising $200,000 for NAWBO, the small group of women ultimately conceived a larger agenda to create a national network that would capitalize on the experience of women at the top echelons of business.
In 1986, C200 launched The C200 Foundation, the organization's grant-making arm. The C200 Foundation provides women with tools they need to become successful entrepreneurs and corporate leaders. Together with its contributors and corporate partners, C200 equips the next generation of women with scholarships, education and mentoring that will foster their rise to the top.
“We are delighted to welcome Ms. Pepys-Lowe as a new member of The Committee of 200”, said Amy O'Keeffe, director of membership, The Committee of 200.
“Renee represents the true sprit of an entrepreneur and in addition exemplifies all the qualities of a preeminent businesswoman. C200 will benefit greatly from Renee's leadership and excellence as a woman-business owner. We look forward to her contribution to the membership and the impact she will have and other young businesswomen” added O'Keeffe.
