The US consumer price index for all urban consumers (CPI-U) rose by 0.1 per cent in November on a seasonally-adjusted basis after increasing by 0.4 per cent in October, according to the Bureau of Labour Statistics. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased by 7.1 per cent before seasonal adjustment. The index for apparel was among those that increased over the month.The CPI-U increased by 7.1 per cent over the last 12 months to an index level of 297.711 (1982-84=100). For November, the index decreased by 0.1 per cent prior to seasonal adjustment.
The energy index fell by 1.6 per cent in November after rising by 1.8 per cent in October and increased by 13.1 per cent for the 12 months ending November.

The all items index increased by 7.1 per cent for the 12 months ending November—the smallest 12-month increase since the period ending December 2021.
