Freemark Apparel Brands (FAB) is a visionary Canadian fashion wholesaler that harnesses business prowess and intuition to secure global brands and supply them to prominent retailers.  Since its foundation in 2004, FAB has continuously demonstrated its keen eye for style by forging strategic partnerships with top marks.

Representing brands such as Bench, Scotch & Soda, Maison Scotch and Garcia, this Montreal-based company needed an end-to-end apparel ERP solution to support its ever-growing business and selected local vendor Momentis on the advice of industry veterans.

When a distributor represents brands as popular as FAB’s – in high demand by top-tier independent boutiques, specialty chains, department stores and mass merchants – they depend on a strong and efficient value chain.  When asked why they chose Momentis, FAB’s Information Systems Manager Rosa Ragusa put it simply, saying “Momentis delivers all of the modules required to develop any wholesale business – from style uploads to order entry, importing POs to costing and logistics.”

The Momentis Fashion System has enabled FAB to improve customer service, reduce delivery times and increase sales while minimizing inventory.  With all customer data in one place and using the ‘left to sell’ function in responding to reorder requests, FAB can quickly and effectively serve any customer, large or small, while maximizing revenue potential.  To deliver on its promises to customers, FAB trusts the Momentis Warehouse Management System.

“Shipping is paramount in providing customer service” Ragusa says.  “Our ability to scan products out and interface with a freight system streamlines the process.  Combining our shipping capabilities with the ‘suggested buy’ module lets us continually optimize our inventory levels.”

The outstanding success of FAB’s best-known brand, Bench, in the North-American market has had a profound impact on FAB’s business.  Expanding from its purely wholesale roots, FAB now operates 30 and counting Bench retail stores, as well as a flourishing ecommerce business.  Ragusa explains how Momentis’ experience with self-sourcing retailers has enabled FAB to enter these new channels without missing a beat:

“We rely on Momentis for our allocation, actual costing, invoicing, EDI, receivables and reporting tools, and Momentis now interfaces seamlessly with our retail side and ecommerce, so the orders and styles that exist in the ERP can be uploaded into the retail system with the push of a button.”

Momentis is thrilled to see FAB achieve this level of success and is proud to be their chosen supplier of apparel ERP software.  As FAB continues to grow Bench and the rest of their portfolio, Momentis is looking forward to new opportunities to take them higher and farther than ever before.
