IBM teams up with corporate clothing provider Ash City

Ash City has teamed with IBM to build an energy-efficient, cost-effective data centre for its new headquarters building. The new facility adds capacity, while reducing energy consumption by half.
Using IBM's Scalable Modular Data Centre technology, Ash City's fully functional data centre was built in less than a week; something that normally takes months to construct. It houses the company's servers in high-density server racks that are cooled with an efficient chilled water system. During cooler months, which are not uncommon in Canada, a heat exchanger provides green, low-cost cooling by using the external cold air to provide cooling.
As Ash City moves to a new headquarters building north of Toronto, IBM will also install a new VOIP telephony solution and IT infrastructure, including cabling and wireless access points.

The relocation of the servers and equipment occurred over a number of weekends, allowing Ash City to continue business without interruption. The facility runs the company's business, call centre and VOIP applications.
The IBM Scalable Modular Data Centre provides increased flexibility to install an efficient data centre quickly and easily scales to meet changing business needs of all Canadian companies.
