One of a kind Hublot Big Bang wristwatch in red, goes to auction whose proceeds go to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief!

This special Hublot Big Bang wristwatch has been created especially for auction on eBay to aid in relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina survivors and victims.

This unique piece was crafted under the direction of the incredible Jean-Claude Biver, CEO and Managing Director of Hublot in Nyon, Switzerland.

eBay auction to start 10:00pm Eastern Daylight Time Thursday, September 8, 2005 and ending at the same time Sunday, September 18th. Despite the list price of US$9500, the auction will start at US$7000.

Introduced in April 2005, the Hublot Big Bang was the hit of the Basel Watch Fair. Clearly Biver's creative genius has followed him from Blancpain to Hublot.

We cannot sit here quietly while people have lost everything because of the hurricane Katrina. It is our duty as a human being to support them and I can only hope many people will do so around the world. None of us will make any money or profit on the sale of this watch, 100% of the proceeds of this auction will immediately be donated to The American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund”.
