According to the National Bureau of Statistics, during July this year, spinning volume of large-scale enterprises reached 1.691 million tons, down 1,43,100 tons compared to last month. This equals to a drop of 7.8 percent. However, this is 234,000 tons higher than the same period last year, showing an increase of 16.06 percent. The growth rate remained the same as last month.
Data shows that during the first 11 months of 2006/07 fiscal, country's yarn output totaled around 17.33 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of about 2.89 million tons and providing a growth of 20.04 percent over the corresponding period previous year.
In the first seven months of 2007, spinning volume reached nearly 10.96 million tons, an increase of about 1.74 million tons which represented a year-on-year rise of 18.96 percent against preceding year.
