As a part of its diversification strategy, Malaysia-based Pearl Haya Sdn Bhd, a firm that engages in production of Pearl Haya brand headscarves, would now also engage in production of Muslim fashion attire.
Established in 2008, Pearl Haya focuses on fashion that covers the body, both for Muslims and non-Muslims.
Zetty Rosli, Director of Pearl Haya, said following requests for matching clothing by Pearl Haya headscarf users, they have embarked on production of shirts (tops), pants and Muslim robes.
However, they do not intend to hire any outside talent to design these apparels, and would only use the existing internal resources for the same, she informed.
The company would start marketing of the new Muslim clothing segment form this month in the local market, she said.
Pearl Haya has signed singer Ana Raffalo to serve as its brand ambassador and to endorse its products.
