Splash unveils limited edition calendar

As Splash delved into the realm of artistic hues with the launch of its third Limited Edition Calendar titled ‘Room 2013’, fashion and art enthusiasts were out in full force to attend the unveiling of this high fashion calendar that was launched by Micky & Renuka Jagtiani, Chairman & Vice-Chairman, Landmark Group along with Raza Beig, CEO, Splash & ICONIC and the photographers. Exploring the vision of a Room through the lens of 12 renowned photographers from around the World, the Calendar showcases various moods of artistic glamour.
With each artist’s interpretation of the theme ‘Room 2013’ as diverse as the human imagination itself, concepts vary from a physical space to a metaphysical realm. Using the world as a visual metaphor and what goes behind closed doors, the 2013 Calendar surprises you each and every month with the 12 stories they tell through the lens of their creators.  Bound to tickle the creative urge this fascinating combination of art, vision and fashion is an art connoisseurs’ piece that embodies a multitude of emotions of love, hope, youth, happiness, tragedy, lust and the supernatural essayed through the 12 months.
Talking on the sidelines of the Calendar launch, Raza Beig, CEO Splash & ICONIC said, “The idea for the 2013 Calendar arose from a curious artistic challenge, where 12 celebrated photographers from across the Globe were roped in to shoot for one concept, ‘Room 2013’ which each of them interpreted in their own way. A first for the Region, the creative results evoke a multitude of emotions as art connoisseurs’ marvel at the creativity ensuring that the third edition of the Splash Calendar is one to be admired at leisure”.
Adding further he also spoke about the Splash Islamic Calendar a novel concept from the brand’s portfolio, “As we get ready to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, we present for the very first time the Splash Islamic Calendar, featuring 12 names of Allah in contemporary calligraphic renditions by renowned calligraphy artist Wissam Shawkat. Taking audiences on a magnificent painterly voyage through the year is a series of artistic renditions that are designed keeping in mind the aesthetic and spiritual quotient.  A beautiful play of form, balance and craft, the Calendar is bound to create a lasting impression”.
As every image tugs you from the deepest recesses of the subconscious to a metaphor of the world we live in the 12 fashion photography stalwarts who have contributed to the 2013 Calendar include Tejal Patni, Lope Navo, Prasad Naik, Amol Jadhav, Ewelina Stechnij, Lucia Giacani, Peter Richweisz, Nader Bilgrami, Marguerite Oelofse, Romi Stern, Nicoline Patricia Malina and Dragomir Spassov. While imagination reigns supreme ‘Room 2013’is interpreted in various form
