About Newlife

Newlife is the result of an ambitious project developed by Saluzzo Yarns, part of the Sinterama Group. It is a unique, completeand certified system of recycled polyester yarns obtained entirely from used plastic bottles, which are transformed into a polymer by way of a mechanical, and non-chemical, process, right up to the production of the 100% Made in Italy yarn thanks to an exclusive horizontal partnership agreement.

The knowledge gained by Saluzzo Yarns, together with its on going research aimed at innovation and the complete, patented process, which forms the basis of this entirely Italian-made project, makes Newlife into an incredibly flexible platform. This method allows for countless end uses and extremely high performance filaments of a quality similar to virgin polyester, while guaranteeing considerable savings in terms of resources and costs for the environment. Here are just some of the possible end uses: fashion, sports and technical clothing, underwear, work wear, medical and outdoor, furnishings and accidentprevention fabrics.

Newlife also offers a complete package of branding and communication for its partners. Newlife is currently a partner of C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy), an international platform with the aim of promoting ecosustainable products. Newlife has been recently voted by EPRO (European Association of Plastics Recycling and Recovery Organisations) as Best Recycled Plastic Product 2012 and is sponsored by the Ministero dell’Ambiente (Ministry of the Environment) and by the Camera del Commercio (Chamber of Commerce) of Rome - Asset Camera for the Premio Impresa Ambiente (Business Environment award) as “Best Product” 2012.
