Dsquared2 launches 'It's baby time' junior line

Even though our girly ‘glampours’ hear that ‘call to nature’ and come well equipped with an abundance of multi purpose, practical items: waterproofs, weathered down sweats, a decent trench, cropped cargo pants and denims -  the Dsquared²’s designers Dean & Dan Caten are certain not to forget that we are talking about “daddy’s little princess”.

Inspect those outfits a little closer and you will see that we are talking about Glamazons in the making; bejeweled insect buttons sparkle, patent fluorescents shine, mini totes in luxurious leather come attached to little arms, plus there’s the ultimate party dress (wardrobe staple of all little girls who are serious about fashion) – it’s in satin (of course!) with a skirt that floats up on a generous wave of ruche tulle.

The designers did not forget to include some of those Dsquared² signature rebel staples – adding in  mini versions for those smaller sized enfants terribles; there’s a set of biker jackets, for boys there is the classic zippered biker version, while for girls (where more is always more!) the jackets come dripping with charms and have quilted leather detailing.  Weathered grey ‘hoodies’, and oversized ‘beanies’ ensure that this genre stays a

‘gangsta’, while lastly, for those girls who are here to really break the rules, there are some extremely cheeky, lace-edged denim hot pants.

Here to guard the more delicate woodland creatures are Dsquared²’s team of ranger scouts, fully qualified (nod to the numerous crests and badges) and well equipped with clothes that are pre-weathered souvenirs that tell of adventures from their past; worn down denims, soft lumberjack plaids, baggy cargo shorts, sensibly thick socks, trucker caps, and patches all show the girls that these little men are ready to roll …. in the action department!

All looks will be completed with a variety of shoe offerings: rain boots, laced up ankle boots, sneakers and pointed patent classic laced up shoes for the boys.

The girls will have flats and jewelry embellished shoes inspired by those of their mothers.

The collection will be available at the most prestigious department stores worldwide and speciality stores, as well on the Dsquared² online store starting from January 2014.
