CEO of Crystal Group, Mr Andrew Lo received the gold award trophy from Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, Mr C Y Leung.
The award, which is often regarded as the Hong Kong environmental “Oscar”, is one of the most prestigious and reputable environmental award schemes in Hong Kong.
The winning T-shirt mill owned by Crystal Group is awarded for its excellence in green leadership, programme and performance, and partner synergy, competing among different industries within the manufacturing sector.

Gotten a silver prize in the scheme two years ago, the winning mill has been taking a progressive approach in its environmental performance.
Following the receipt of ISO14000 Environmental Management System certification in 2003, the company has adopted advanced technologies such as the first automatic ink dispenser for garment printing in Asia to reduce ink consumption and wastage, as well as the water storage air conditioning system that significantly saves power usage.
Crystal Group CEO Mr Andrew Lo was invited to speak at the HKAEE experience sharing seminar on May 31, when he introduced Crystal’s endeavour and commitment to the environment to attending enterprises.
“Not only does environmental protection benefit the community and the environment, it is also a fundamental element of an enterprise’s sustainable development,” said Mr Andrew Lo. “It helps enhance productivity and competitiveness, and brand image and customer recognition.”
