At Retail Week's Enterprise Awards 2013, Charles Tyrwhitt were announced as the winner of the 'Retailer of the Year' award at a ceremony in London's Grosvenor House Hotel on the 26th November.
Charles Tyrwhitt picked up the award for their excellent performance in the retail sector over the past year. The award was given for outstanding growth in sales and profits in the UK and internationally, combined with outstanding customer service, entrepreneurship and marketing performance. Retail week executive editor, George MacDonald commented:

Owner and founder of Charles Tyrwhitt, Nick Wheeler, gave a typically amusing acceptance speech in which he told the audience the credit all goes to the 700 or so members of the Charles Tyrwhitt team. The Charles Tyrwhitt success story began with one ambition - to make a better shirt than anybody else.
Founded in 1986 as a mail order business, selling just a few men's shirts and ties from a small office in Chelsea, Charles Tyrwhitt has since grown into a multi-channel retailer with 21 stores across the globe, a flagship store on London's famous Jermyn Street, an award-winning website serving four different territories, and a global direct mail business.
In recent years Charles Tyrwhitt has won several awards for their customer service and retail operations. With a drive to ensure customers receive the best service and quality clothing at outstanding value, we only hope to continue improving over the coming years.
Although known for making quality men's shirts, there is now an extensive range of formal and casualwear including suiting (much of which is made within the UK), Knitwear and Outerwear, a women's line and a broad range of shoes and accessories.
Retail Week's 'Retailer of the Year' Award came with fierce competition, and we are both thrilled and delighted that Charles Tyrwhitt has had the honour of winning in 2013.
