The American personal trainer, businesswoman, author and television personality Jillian Michaels has teamed up with the American discount department store chain Kmart to create a line of performance activewear.
The fall womenswear collection titled Impact by Jillian Michaels will feature fitness apparels and accessories in four key categories—core training, running, yoga and lifestyle.
The range will include significant technical characteristics that are vital to activewear, such as moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties, flat-lock stitching, reflective details and fabric blends for enhanced comfort and breathability.
Diane Vaccaro, the chief marketing officer for Kmart Apparel, said in a statement, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Jillian, one of the foremost authorities in wellness and fitness. Jillian has infused her personal style and enthusiasm for empowering women into the collection, allowing us to offer true performance and style at an affordable price.”
Jillian also commented on the collaboration, “I wanted to create an athletic apparel line for Kmart that not only performed well, but looked great, too. I drew inspiration from every fitness category and trend out there, so no matter who you are and what you're doing, you will feel empowered while wearing the collection.”
Slated to be available on Kmart.com from August 10 and at select Kmart stores from August 17, 2014, the line will be produced by IFG, a division of Adjmi Apparel Group, which is renowned for its quality and design in activewear.
