UNIQLO Europe opened its first flagship store in Berlin in April 2014 and was also the first UNIQLO outlet to be opened in Germany. Fast Retailing said, it also continues to generate favourable sales.

Revenue in Global Brands segment in the fiscal year under preview also expanded 21.8% year-on-year to ¥251.2 billion.
However, Global Brands reported an operating loss of ¥4.1 billion, after continued losses in the J Brand business, obliged the segment to record an impairment loss of ¥19.3 billion.
In case of other labels in the Global Brands segment, the GU fashion casualwear brand reported a rise in sales but a contraction in profit for the full fiscal year.
GU was forced to scale up discounts on surplus inventory, following a sluggish sales period in the second half.
The Theory fashion brand reported rising sales and a slight contraction in operating profit.
France-based women’s fashion brand Comptoir des Cotonniers too posted rise in sales and profits, while the Princesse tam.tam also reported rising sales, but fall in profits for fiscal year ended August 31, 2014. (AR)
