David's Bridal launches online 'Dress Your Wedding' Contest

David's Bridal, the nation's leading and most trusted bridal retailer, announced the launch of its 'Dress Your Wedding' online campaign.
The contest,located at davidsbridal.com/dywcontest, asks entrants to virtually 'Dress Their Wedding' by choosing bridal gowns, bridal party dresses, accessories, and tuxedos for the grooms and groomsmen that represent their personal styles and then share their plans for making their wedding days unique.
The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by a panel of judges from all eligible entries and will win a $5,000 gift certificate to David's Bridal, a virtual style consultation with a David's Bridal style expert and the opportunity to blog about their experience on DavidsBridal.com.
“A wedding can be the most meaningful day in a bride and groom's life and should reflect the personality of the couple,” said Carol Steinberg, Vice President of Internet for David's Bridal. “Our exclusive 'Dress Your Wedding' tool enables brides to envision their wedding by virtually trying out different gowns, color schemes and accessories to create the wedding of their dreams. We are eager to see how the personalities of the entrants shine through in their entries.”
In addition to the Grand Prize Winner, David's Bridal will also select one Runner Up and one Most Viral Winner. Both the Runner Up and the Most Viral Winners will be chosen from the top 250 entries in each category and will each receive a $2,500 gift certificate to David's Bridal.
The David's Bridal 'Dress Your Wedding' campaign will be powered by social media advertising network Brickfish. The campaign enables consumers to create exciting, personalized brand-focused user-generated content (UGC) and virally share their entries with their vast social networks via widgets, blogs, IM, email and more. Campaign participants have the ability to interact with David's campaign by creating, reviewing, sharing and voting upon brand-relevant content.
