The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc., announced its Carson Pirie Scott Randhurst Village store located in Mount Prospect, Illinois will undergo a two-year renovation to coincide with the redevelopment of Randhurst Village into an open-air, lifestyle center with retail, restaurants, entertainment and a hotel.
The renovation to the Carson store will emulate the look and ambiance of the reconfigured center. The three-level 205,000 square foot Carson Pirie Scott store will be completely remodeled, which is scheduled to commence in the summer of 2009 and be completed in the fall of 2010.
Bud Bergren, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We are very excited and pleased about the renovation to our Carson Pirie Scott store. We believe the new lifestyle Randhurst Village will be a premiere retail center and very inviting for our customers in this market. We are also pleased that we will have the capacity to offer a greater selection of merchandise as a result of the renovation. The primary objective of our remodel is to reallocate space and realign departments to maximize productivity and create a new environment that enhances the customer's shopping experience. We look forward to our customers' response."
