Springs Creative partners with Marvel for Spider-Man brand

Representatives from Springs Creative Products Group, LLC announced that the company has entered into a licensing agreement with Marvel Entertainment, Inc. for the Spider-Man brand. This agreement will allow Springs Creative Products Group, LLC to incorporate Spider-Man and the classic characters from the Spider-Man comic book series – including Black Cat, Electro, Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin and Rhino – into their lines of retail fabrics and craft kits, such as the Make It Yourself! Fleece Throw Kits.

Spider-Man fabrics and craft kits will begin to ship into the retail marketplace early in 2009 and will be featured at a variety of popular retailers including Wal-Mart, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Hancock Fabrics and Hobby Lobby.

“Our agreement with Springs Creative Products Group, LLC was a natural choice,” said Paul Gitter, President Consumer Product North America. “While our comic books, movies and video games will always be popular among today's consumers, we look forward to having Springs Creative Products Group incorporate our brand into their innovative line of craft kits and fabrics.”
