The Jute Co to open outlet in St John's Shopping Centre

St John's Shopping Centre has announced plans for Dundee based retailer, The Jute Co, to open a store in the mall in October this year.

J.Co offers customers a unique range of jute products including fashion bags, shoppers, jewellery and stationary. There is also a superb range of soft furnishings including wall hangings, cushion covers and much, much more. Dundee cakes are on the menu accompanied by a selection of Scottish textiles including handmade wristlets and scarves, t-shirts, aprons and tea towels.

The store, which will be situated in the South Street Mall, is the second new store opening to be announced this month. St John's Shopping Centre has demonstrated a strong sustained increase in footfall during 2009 and this second announcement, following Calendar Club's announcement last week, cements belief that confidence in the retail market is beginning to return.

Siobhan McConnell, St John's Shopping Centre manager, commented, “The Jute Co is an entirely new retail proposition in St John's Shopping Centre and we believe it will be a very welcome addition to our retail mix in the run up to Christmas this year.”
