Technology behind tao non-uniform uniform

"The market segment was cold and sterile, lacking the chic style these customers were looking for," says Cook. “There was a need for a high quality, uniquely designed, eco-fabric uniform that does not fit the typical 'norm' for uniforms.” They were able to bring fashion innovation to these markets through styles that break the boundaries of the typical uniform look, that staff were delighted and proud to wear with the durability and function of the fabric required for uniforms.
And so, the tao freedom “non-uniform uniform” was born. Huge success of the concept lead founders Clare Cook and Dorothy Szeto to expand the company that enabled tao freedom to reposition itself not only as a source for fashion lifestyle attire and spa retail, but as a player in the world of hotel, salon and spa uniforms.
The higher price of the garment became a non-issue for their clients who understood that the long-lasting high performance hardworking fabrics and tailored construction affects thebottom line in the long term.
“Designs combine a visually appealing esthetic,” says Szeto, “We deliver that special look in the workplace that these facilities not only require but deserve with a hard-working fabric that is big on performance and easy to maintain.”
To date tao freedom works with some of the top hotels and spas in the industry inclusive of boutique hotels, resorts, spas and wellness centers in 15 countries such as the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, the Breakers Palm Beach.
Tao Freedom clothing is fit and cut with the aim of flattering every body shape and type. Clothes are fitted and styles elongate the body, And the material is exquisite. Cook's co-founder and head designer Dorothy Szeto, brings twenty years of design and textile skills to the company and combined with her insight into the changing world of how people dress, has developed cutting edge European fabrics that are lightweight yet functional and designed to meet the needs of today's demanding lifestyles that transcend climate and are comfortable in tropical resorts or winter resorts.
Most lines are developed from meryl and tactel nylon fibers—materials which are currently revolutionizing apparel due to their durability and softness. The fabics, developed specifically by tao freedom are man-made fabrics that use the highest quality high performance fibers in the industry. They maintain the natural balance of the skin and contain protective antibacterial properties. In addition, they are strong and durable while are also extremely lightweight; they are cooling and ultra-breathable.
