Pumpkin Patch Ltd, children's clothing retailer is planning to open a new chain of shops in New Zealand and Australia in coming two to three months.
It intends to set up six to eight stores by the end of the current year, informed Mr. Matthew Washington, Chief Financial Officer of the company. As the company is leveraging its current infrastructure, the new stores will provide better proceeds, he added.
However, there are suspicions about the impact of the new brand on company's existing Pumpkin Patch brand, but Mr. Washington is confident about its assortment.
Merger of the two brands, new and the older one is the biggest threat, he said, expecting that it would be difficult to come across Pumpkin Patch in the new brand if the company's plans are executed properly.
Size of the future stores will be about half to two-third of the size of Pumpkin Patch stores.
