Association of Shopping and Entertainment Centers of Peru (ACCEP) recently revealed that, large and medium sized brands from Argentina and Colombia are all set to launch themselves in the Peruvian malls, as they hire space in new shopping malls coming up in Peru in next few years.

According to ACCEP, around 22 new malls are likely to be built in Peru through 2013, which would entail an investment of US $687 million.

Gonzalo Ansola, Head of ACCEP, revealed that, the new debuting entrepreneurs are mainly associated with the textile and clothing industry, and also accessories and leather goods industries.

He shared his view that a few capable Chilean entrepreneurs have already marked their presence in Peru. While talking about the Brazilian brands in Peru he said that, they are still in process of building closer relationship with the Brazilian entrepreneurs.

However, he said that, the Brazilian entrepreneurs who have a habit of trading in larger markets with higher purchasing power may not be much interested in trading with Peru.
