Gambino Apparel Group enters Japanese market

Apparel group Gambino Apparel Group Inc announced that it had entered into an exclusive license and distribution agreement pending the payment of the initial license fee with Gambino Japan Inc, a newly formed Japanese distribution company, for use of the Gambino tradename and trademarks in Japan and marketing of Gambino-branded apparel.
Under the direction of Jin Eun Ki, CEO, and Yoji 'Freddie' Hayakawa, COO, Gambino Japan Inc plans to open up to three Gambino-branded retail boutiques within the next twelve months, as well as distribute the company's product line to other Japanese retailers.
The agreement requires minimum product purchases by Gambino Japan Inc of US$3 million during the first year, based on the company's current wholesale price schedule.
"We are proud to be represented in the Japanese market by these distinguished gentlemen and their significant retail network. We look forward to an extremely beneficial mutual relationship in Japan, and we intend work with them to find additional opportunities in other fast-growing Asian markets", said Christopher Gambino, Chairman and CEO.
Gambino Apparel Group specializes in trendy Brazilian-cut denim fashions, including its signature line of 'Bullet Hole Jeans' accented with Swarovski crystals. It also designs and produces ladies' tops, skirts and lingerie, as well as men's shirts and jeans.
