OfficeMax received the Peter Glen Award, awarded to companies who give back to their community or environment in a unique way. OfficeMax received the award for its “A Day Made Better” giving program. In October 2007, more than 4,000 OfficeMax associates, media and school administrators and children surprised teachers across the United States with $1,200 worth of classroom supplies. The campaign raised more than $1 million for Adopt-A-Classroom and generated more than $2.4 million in positive publicity for OfficeMax.
At the event, RAMA also welcomed Mike Linton, SVP and chief marketing officer of eBay, into the Retail Advertising Hall of Fame.
