Safexpress Pvt Ltd, a leading player in the Supply Chain and Logistics Industry, collaborated with Images Group, the most renowned Retail Intelligence Organization of India, to organize the much awaited extravaganza 'India Fashion Forum 2009'.

IFF 2009 has emerged as the ideal platform for global fashion and retail visionaries to share their views on the current trends and the potential of the emerging markets. The IFF, 2009 held on 27th and 28th January 2009, at the Renaissance Convention Centre, Mumbai, is an international view of Indian Fashion and Retail industry.

The current edition saw business captains including retail giants converging to discuss growth strategies for fashion retail businesses in India. The gala event witnessed the presence of industry leaders from the retail industry including the likes of Kishore Biyani, Founder & CEO, Future Group, Gautam Singhania, CMD, Raymond Subhinder Singh, MD, Reebok India, among others.

During the IFF 2009, Safexpress showcased its latest offering for its retail clients, Stock2Shelf, a professional mall supply chain service. Stock2Shelf is specialized and professionally managed supply chain service for retail stores in malls, to address the long felt need for lack of customized services to these players.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vineet Kanaujia, GM – Marketing, Safexpress elaborated on the crucial role Supply Chain and Logistics Industry play in the booming Fashion Industry. He opined, “Indian Fashion Industry is one of the most prospering industries with more and more brands pouring in. With cutthroat competition, and the need for enhanced operational efficiency, the role of a streamlined Supply Chain and Logistics is more pronounced for any organization. This forum presents an opportunity for the industry leaders to come together in order to facilitate a healthy discussion on the challenges that the economy as a whole is facing.”

Mr. Kanaujia further highlighted the scope of Supply Chain and said, “To endure the current economic slowdown, fashion companies need to carefully evaluate their cost structure. As supply chain cost constitutes a major part of this structure, the focus should be to minimize inventory related costs so as to shorten the cash cycles.”
