The MMMM has an important place in the French world of fashion, in particular with regards to its support for young designers and brands in the Provence region of France as well as across the Mediterranean region, and for its prestigious Masters in Arts of Fashion & Textile, taught at the Aix-Marseille University (AMU).
As of July 2013, MMMM moved to Euromediterranée, the new business and cultural district of Marseille, this year's European Capital of Culture.
McArthurGlen is currently under way with the development of McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Provence, a new luxury-focussed designer outlet which will be the first of its kind in the region and located 50 minutes from Marseilles, on the A7 motorway to Paris.
McArthurGlen Provence is due to open in 2016 as the signature outlet for the south of France and a key tourist attraction for the region, both for global shoppers as well as tourists travelling within Europe. The centre will offer fashion lovers more than 120 stores of the most sought-after luxury and designer brands in a beautifully designed shopping environment.
Mike Natas, McArthurGlen's Director of Development, says: "We are delighted to be the new partner of the prestigious MMMM given its role at the heart of the Mediterranean fashion industry.
"The MMMM does great work in training and supporting young designers to launch exciting new businesses, and we believe it is very important to give this support to the next generation who will go on to inspire and lead the fashion industry in the region."
