Cycling shoe maker bags two footwear awards

Sports apparel manufacturer Pearl Izumi USA Inc received two footwear awards for the Juice Mountain Shoe “Best Mountain Shoe under $150” and the Ampere Mountain Shoe, “Best Women's Mountain Shoe” and 1 apparel award for the Optik Vest “Best Vest Under $75”.
Bicycling Magazine hosted its annual Editors Choice Award's ceremony at this year's Sea Otter Race and outerwear leader Pearl Izumi was one of this years biggest winners once again.
Bicycling Magazine tests new products for 2006 at beginning of the year and then makes decisions based on extensive feedback they receive from their gear testing team. Pearl Izumi also won three Editors Choice awards in 2005.
Both the Ampere and Juice were brand new shoes for 2006 and “having the Bicycling Magazine recommendation for both of these shoes is very exciting for Pearl Izumi's cycling footwear business.”
The Optik Vest is a favorite for weight conscious cyclists. The Optik jacket is made form Pearl Izumi's super-lightweight Optik fabric that is incredibly packable and perfect for rides when the protection of a vest is necessary.
