A great deal of business negotiated at the fair itself, highly professional visitation, dozens of product and service launches and a major highlight in the concept of technology.
This was the summary presented during a press conference on the last day of the 32nd Fimec (International Fair of Leather, Chemicals, Components and Accessories, Equipment and Machines for Footwear and Tanneries), closing the event on an optimistic note in the Fenac pavilions, Novo Hamburgo.
According to Júlio Cézar Camerini, Fenac S/A CEO, Fimec 2008 consolidated its position as the second biggest worldwide fair in its industry.
“As for the number of deals closed, any amount I say might not correspond to the amount at the fair as there are many products exhibited, each one behaving differently”, says Camerini.
In his evaluation, the success of Fimec this year was on the side of quality and technology, not counting the huge movement in the domestic market.
“All of our expectations came true. It's difficult to calculate the result in terms of money because negotiations started here will take a few months to complete”, added the director-president of Fenac.
Another outstanding factor was the quality of professional visitation which occurred during the fair, the fruit of an awareness campaign at other international fairs in the industry, there was 50,075 professionals from 47 countries visiting the fair.
“Everyone could tell thatpeople linked to the sector, business people, engineers, technicians, stylists, designers and store owners, among others, were circulating through the corridors.
