Karen Walker & Swanndri unveil much-anticipated collection

Internationally-renowned fashion designer Karen Walker and iconic New Zealand brand Swanndri, will unveil the much-anticipated collection from their design partnership in Wellington on 30 March.

Swanndri by Karen Walker will be introduced to the market at the opening of Swanndri's first Concept Store.
The range is characterised by strong, refined products that have been inspired by Swanndri's heritage and intrinsic durability, whilst incorporating Karen Walker's focus on contemporary style.

“Swanndri by Karen Walker is all about living. It's about the perfect weekend getaway and everything you'll need for it,” says Karen Walker.

The first winter range features woolen knitwear, soft cashmere scarves, and cotton shirts and T-shirts for women and men. Later in the season, coats and jackets feature prominently in the collection. Trench coats in nylons and cottons, jackets in moleskins and flannels, and classic checks on outer flannels and collar trim. The look is stylish and timeless.

Classic Swanndri bush shirt flannel in check and plain has been transformed into a chic luggage collection featuring tote bags, overnight and computer bags to compliment the clothing range.

A reinterpretation of the check introduces a new colour palette. Dusty, worn mixes of browns, charcoal, khakis and tans sit alongside the more familiar Swanndri red.

“Swanndri By Karen Walker has a distinctly urban appeal while celebrating the authenticity of the brand,” says Walker. “The iconic Swanndri check, flannel, durability and simplicity have been the core elements we've worked with in designing this range.”
