David Jones partners designer Christopher Esber

Christopher Esber is the 25 year old creative force behind his eponymous brand. Having studied at East Sydney TAFE Fashion Design Studio Christopher was selected to present his graduate collection at Rosemont Australian Fashion Week.

In 2012 Christopher won the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s National Design Award and went on to represent Australia at the G’Day USA Trade Mission. He was also amongst the six labels submitted to a British Fashion Council project designed to identify the world’s best emerging designers during London Fashion Week.

Christopher was selected as a finalist for the 2012 Australian Wool Innovation, Woolmark Prize and in 2013 was awarded as the Australian winner Woolmark Prize. As a global finalist of this award he will be presenting his designs in Milan in 2014.

Adding to his recognition in the fashion industry Christopher was awarded the Winner of “Best Up & Coming Australian Designer”, Prix de Marie Claire 2013 and Winner, BT Financial Emerging Fashion Designer Award 2013.

Christopher Esber will be available in David Jones’ CBD stores as well as its Chadstone (Vic) and Bondi Junction (NSW) stores from February 2014.
