Malkasten to examine young designers' creations at Body Look

Body Look, Germany's only International Trade Fair for Body, Beach and Legwear, will be held as part of the Igedo Fashion Fairs boasting a plethora of new features and highlights in Düsseldorf from 27 to 29 July 2008.

In addition to the move to Hall 9 right next to the entrance area Nord, used by over 80 % of buyers and trade visitors to access the fair grounds, the hall space will be gradually re-allocated.

Visitors will be awaited by themed concept worlds arranged by genres as well as Lounges adding to the relaxed atmosphere as communicative meeting points.

New Body Look exhibitors include the likes of Ambra Corsetteria, Banana Moon, Blue Angel, Croissier Bano, Kymare, L'homme invisible, Omero and QZ Quadrigae Zeus, to name but a few.

There are also other important exhibitors showing at this Body Look: affairs by sassa, Anita, Bruno Banani Underwear, Chantal Thomass, Christian Lacroix, Eva B. Bitzer, Fürstenberg, Gottex, Huit, Implicite, John Galliano, Lisca, Marie Jo, Maryan Beachwear, Nanso, Nina von C., Olaf Benz, Pain de Sucre, Palmers Lejaby, Prima Donna, Riedl mit Sunflair, Opera, Olympia and Sunmarin, Rösch, Seafolly Australia, Simone Pérèle, 6ixty 8ight and Speidel.

“We look forward to welcoming 200 exhibitors and collections from 23 countries at Body Look,” says Angelika Grammozi, Project Director of Body Look, and adds: “By sharpening the profile of Body Look and intensifying our communication with industry and retail we have taken a major step ahead. The positive reactions from the market confirm our approach.

Trendzone:
Already in the entrance concourse of the re-designed hall trade visitors will be welcomed by a Trend Zone for women's, men's, body and beachwear designed by the Igedo Company jointly with the German Fashion Institute (DMI).

It replaces its forerunner, the Trend. Forum, and is designed to give visitors to the Igedo Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf a condensed overview of the 2009 Spring/Summer trends.

In cooperation with the DMI so-called key looks were defined with a view to giving visitors more assurance for their orders.

Fashion Shows and Trend Seminar:
“Profashionals” are in for two true highlights at the fashion shows: At the Maryan Mehlhorn Show “THE NEW LOOK” staged at 7 pm on the Sunday of the trade fair, Maryan Mehlhorn will exclusively launch its new brand image as part of the fashion show as well as its new collections for summer 2009.

Furthermore, Riedl will present its own special show entitled “The Whole Story – Fascination Beach & Swimwear Trends and Themes 2009” on the stage of the Body Look hall at 3 pm on the Sunday and Monday of the trade fair. On Monday the show will be preceded by a press reception at the Riedl stand.

The Body Look Shows will take place as usual on all three days of the exhibition. While the Body Look Show will be presented at 10.30 am and 1.00 pm, the Body Look Beachwear Show will take the stage in Hall 9 at 11.30 am and 2.00 pm.
