To welcome summer and warm-weather activities, the APMA recently introduced consumer essentials for selecting flip-flop and sandal fashions. Three of the Orthaheel brand's summer sandals - with built-in orthotic support for a foot-friendly alternative to flip-flops - are considered amongst the best choices by the APMA.

Offering an innovative approach to foot health, the APMA-approved Orthaheel Tide, Ryder and Wave sandals feature award-winning tri-planar motion control technology that is clinically proven to reduce pronation and help relieve pain by providing correct biomechanical support. The APMA's Seal of Acceptance was recently awarded to Vasyli LLC, a leading global supplier of footwear and orthotics from Australia, for three of its Orthaheel flip-flop sandals, walking shoe and four orthotic insoles.

"The approved Orthaheel products have proven their pain-relieving benefits to APMA's panel of renowned podiatrists and rightfully earned the APMA Seal of Acceptance. We are pleased to add these to our list of APMA Seal products, considered to be among the best choices when selecting a shoe and orthotic that promotes quality foot health," said APMA President Ronald D. Jensen, DPM.

Founded in 1979 by Australian podiatrist Phillip Vasyli, the Orthaheel brand of sandals, slippers and casual walking shoes restore natural alignment of the foot and ankle, helping to alleviate plantar fasciitis, knee, leg and lower back pain. For many, Orthaheel offers an affordable solution to common foot and leg pain without the need for medication or expensive, invasive procedures.

"Every day we hear how our sandal technology helps provide natural, affordable relief to the millions of people suffering from heel pain, foot pain or other common aches and pains," states Chris Gallagher, Chief Executive Officer for Vasyli LLC. "We're honored to have APMA's recognition for these products."

Orthaheel offers orthotic inserts including the APMA-approved Slimfit, Sport, Workforce and ¾-length styles, alongside the APMA-approved sandals and Walker athletic shoes for men and women.

Founded in 1912, the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) is the nation's leading and recognized professional organization for doctors of podiatric medicine (DPMs). APMA has 53 state component locations across the United States and its territories, with a membership of close to 12,000 podiatrists. All practicing APMA members are licensed by the state in which they practice podiatric medicine.
