Stars of the Kremlin: Contest for young fur designers

Kopenhagen Fur emphasises the importance of the Russian fur market and of the MEXA MOSCOW by becoming GOLD Sponsor of the contest “Stars of the Kremlin – Fur” by MEXA MOSCOW.

For the first time in 2009, this contest for young fur designers takes place as part of the MEXA MOSCOW. Contest “Stars of the Kremlin – Fur Fur” by MEXA MOSCOW In cooperation with the Public Moscow University for Design and Technology, MEXA MOSCOW is searching for the best young fur design talent in Russia.

All design students from the Moscow University and several colleges are invited to take part at this contest. The finalists of the contest ontest “Stars of the Kremlin – Fur” by MEXA MOSCOW will present their designs live on the MEXA Catwalk on October 22, 2009. An International jury will choose the winner. This is a unique opportunity for young talents to present themselves in front of the International and Russian fur industry. The winner is awarded an internship with the Meerstein company – a manufacturer of high quality cashmere clothing, silk and fur where he or she gets a unique chance to experience the daily work of an international manufacturer.

However the contest is not only searching for one winner but also for winners in special categories (fur garment and fur accessories). Therefore the GOLD Sponsor Kopenhagen Fur also offers a prize. One of the category winners will fly to Kopenhagen and look behind the scenes of the world's largest fur auction house.
